Karolina Pruchniewicz – Lawyer, PhD Candidate (Law)

Karolina is a lawyer specializing in Product, Agri-Food, International and Environmental Law. She heads the Life Sciences department at RPMS Staniszewski & Partners and advises the Regional Innovator of the Food Industry from Poznań.

She is a Law graduate (Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń) and has recently completed a one-year scholarship at the Faculty of Law and Translation of the University of Salamanca. In 2020 she completed a postgraduate course in Participatory Plant Breeding & Resilient Seed Systems at the Graduate School for Production Ecology & Resource Conservation (Netherlands). She also did a research internship at Wageningen University&Research. She is currently pursuing a PhD in International Food Law.

Karolina has been gaining her professional experience since year 2009 in: local government administration, NGOs, start-up in Berlin, consulates of the Republic of Peru and of the Republic of Poland, Polish Embassy in Rome and international law firms in Italy and Poland.

Author of scientific and popular articles in the field of agri-food law and sustainable development, expert of the Italian blog on environmental and eco-food law – cibodiritto, and a British blog on sustainable fashion – sustainableukfashion.

Karolina is a member of several organizations, including: the Research Center for Agricultural Law and Sciences, Food and Environment at the Università Piemonte Orientale in Italy; the Center for Design, Fashion and Advertising Law at the University of Silesia in Katowice; the Women and Wine Association; the legal team of prawalkoholowe.pl; the International Law Association – Polish Branch; and the International Wine Law Association (AIDV – IWLA). She is an expert of the Scientific Council of the Food X-Ray Program and from 2019 president of the we&waste Association.

On a daily basis she provides legal and business services in Italian, English and Spanish to entities from Latin America, USA, Middle East and Australia, among others, and conducts international trainings and projects in the field of environmental policy.
